I had one student who was up $5000 at the
roulette table and then the casino started feeding him free drinks. Hey, I
can't blame him he was a young guy, and who can resist free booze? Well
anyways he had over 10 people watching him at the table, he was winning
winning and winning some more. Until he had one too many drinks.
Slowly but surely he started making
stupid bets, he quit using basic pivot strategy, he lost all focus on
money management strategy and before you knew it he was down to his last
$5.
So the moral of the story is, stay away
from any drugs or alcohol that will impair your judgement. Gambling
shouldn't be just for fun.
Gambling is deadly serious since it's
about winning money not losing it!
So to keep your shirt on your back, I
repeat, stay away from the free booze. If you do plan on drinking stay
away from the gambling pit, you'll just dig yourself deep into a hole,
like a dog buries his bone.
